Bridge cultural context π into every step of the design βοΈ
Growing up in Vietnam and America, Truong has developed a unique cross-cultural perspective that shapes how he sees people, stories, and systems. This experience drives him to thoughtfully bridge cultural context into every step of the design and user experience journey.
Why It Matters π―
For Truong, design should do more than look good. It must clarify ideas, welcome every user, and spark cultural connection. Whether he is refining a visual identity or building out a full brand system, he balances aesthetics, clarity, and strategy to create branding that truly resonates. His collaborators and clients include Adobe, American Airlines, CHOP, SEPTA, the Philadelphia Eagles, NRG Energy, Walmart, Vivint, and Direct Energy.

Community Work And Leadership
Vietnamese Student Association
Truong treats the Vietnamese Student Association as an in-house creative studio, leading visual communication for its key programs and events. He has developed more than twenty visual themes that integrate traditional Vietnamese motifs with contemporary design and deployed them across VSAβs social channels. Campaigns for Boba With VSA, Karaoke Night, Thanksgiving gatherings, Tet, the Asian Night Market, ACE Mentorship, corporate tours, and the 2025 Culture Show reached 356,400 people, increased the audience by 242 percent, and helped position VSA events as inclusive spaces to experience and celebrate Vietnamese culture.

ST Maria Gorreti Parish
Since 2020, Truong has streamed Mass for Saint Maria Goretti using OBS and a three camera setup to bring weekly services to people who cannot attend in person. Leading a three person crew, he livestreams and records Mass, engaging more than 300 viewers by capturing sacred moments from multiple angles and managing a smooth broadcast. This experience, especially during the pandemic when many families were grieving, showed him how creative design and technology, used with empathy, can provide comfort and connection during moments of loss and isolation and support the churchβs mission of reaching its community.
